Born and Raised in San Diego, California, Marie is constantly inspired by the diverse culture, and nature stretching far into the desert and out into endless seas.

Marie's main focus in her art has always been illustration and portraiture. From attending Miramar Community College her vocabulary in different mediums expanded to a love of oil painting and the concept of creating a functional piece of artwork that ceramics offered. As Marie started attending San Diego State University, she stumbled upon jewelry and metalsmith classes to full fill a 3D design requirement. With a new found love of metals, Marie's dream as an independent freelance artist continues to grow.

Marie graduated SDSU with a BA in Art in the spring of 2019. She focused on deepening her understanding with oil paintings, as well as expanding onto a bigger scale with murals, and exploring further into jewelry with silver-smithing and gemstone settings from local mines.
